Philo H.S Threat Rumor Unsubstantiated

Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz says his department investigated a rumor at Philo High School that suggested school violence.  Lutz says it is unsubstantiated and a rumor that got out of hand.  The genesis of the issue involved two kids a while back who made note of some people they did not like.  Sheriff Lutz says he has been in contact with school administration and parents will be phoned and told about the issue.  A Sheriff’s office resource officer will also be at the school Thursday.
