Plaskolite celebrates 75 years in business and 25 years in Zanesville

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – A major thermoplastics manufacturer celebrates 75 years of business with it’s Zanesville plant also celebrating 25 years.

Plaskolite celebrates these two major milestones on August 19 and 20 with special meals and gifts for the employees who have played a role in the company’s success and growth. One such employee is the Zanesville plant’s manager, Brady Smith, who has been with the company for 35 years.

“When I started, there was one facility in Columbus off of Joyce Avenue. It’s currently there today,” Smith said. “And to see all the facilities that have come on board since, with Zanesville being a premiere plant built from the ground up by the original founder and his family, and to see all the new products that have come through. It’s been pretty amazing.”

From one plant in Columbus to 18 plants around the world, the company’s growth is shown globally and locally. For example, the Plaskolite plant in Zanesville recently completed a major expansion which added 38 local jobs and increased productivity.

“We currently have quite a few positions. Maintenance being one of the highest needed areas as well as our lead technicians the production lines. Those are two skilled positions that we’re actively seeking,” Smith said.
