ZANESVILLE, Ohio – A local organization holds a popular fundraising event that promotes local businesses while quenching eventgoers’ thirst.

The Muskingum County Community Foundation’s Beth Fox and Amy Luby announced the return of Pop and Pour, Southeastern Ohio Beer and Wine Fest that will take place from 4 to 7, Saturday, July 18th, at the Zanesville-Muskingum County Welcome Center.

“Tickets are on-sale now at mccf.org and I would encourage folks to get those tickets early,” Luby said. “We have a presale offer where you can save $10 dollars on your tickets, right now through June 30th. So we’re really excited to have the event back and look for it to do a lot of great things in our community.”

The event will take place rain or shine because The Welcome Center, located at 205 North Fifth Street offers plenty of room for indoor and outdoor accommodation. Each ticket offers 10 sample tastings from more than 20 different local and regional brewers and wineries. Plus there’s still time for more vendors to participate.

“For us here at MCCF, this event is two-fold,” Fox said. “Originally, it was planned as a fundraiser. Another way for us to gather funds for our… from the community to then you know, put back into the community. But over the course of the last few years, we’ve come to understand that this is more of a friend-raiser for us. So this is a wonderful opportunity for us at MCCF as well as local community members to just take an afternoon to get to know each other, to hang out, to sample some local wines and beers.”

Free and convenient parking for the event will be offered by nearby businesses. For more information or to purchase tickets in advance, you can visit mccf.org.
