Port Authority Offering Training Grant to Local Manufacturers

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Wednesday’s topic of discussion was a training grant opportunity for manufacturers in Muskingum County.

Matt Abbott, Executive Director, Zanesville-Muskingum Port Authority, said that the program has been around since 2014, but has not been taken advantage of that much.

Abbott said that he would like to let businesses aware of this opportunity.

“It’s an application, a competitive process offering $50,000 for training opportunities to local manufacturers to assist their workforce and bottom line.”

He also said that this is something that the Port Authority can do locally to assist businesses and help them grow, expand, and make investments in the community.

“Also on top of that, our regional partner has training opportunities and grant dollars in monies available to help supplement the bottom line of any manufacturing company here in Muskingum County.”
