Possible Tornado in Washington County Investigated Thursday

The National Weather Service office in Charleston, WV reports that a possible tornado may have occurred just south of Macksburg, OH in Washington County, OH at around 5:10 PM EDT Thursday.
Radar imagery of that area from that time indicated that some mid-level rotation was present within the thunderstorm. This thunderstorm was also responsible for producing hail around the Caldwell, OH area.
The National Weather Service office in Pittsburgh, PA has also reported that at least two other possible tornadoes occurred this afternoon around the Wheeling, WV and Steubenville, OH region. The National Weather Service offices are planning on conducting surveys on Friday in these locations, including the Macksburg area. At this time, none of these tornadoes are considered “official”.
In addition, strong thunderstorms produced minor wind damage in Franklin County, Fayette County and Pickaway County, OH.
