Primary Power Disrupted at Genesis Hospital
Power at Genesis Hospital was momentarily interrupted Tuesday afternoon.
According to a statement from Marketing/Media Relations Manager, Holly Voltz, power went down around 1:00 p.m. and generators at the hospital came on immediately.
Voltz said the hospital ultimately switched over to the normal alternative power supply. As of 4:00 p.m. Tuesday was still running on the alternative power source. An investigation is currently underway to see why the primary power source failed. Voltz said there was no disruption in patient care during the incident.
The Physician Pavilion, “does not have generator back up,” the statement read. and the physician offices in there were closed during the the event.
