Princess Blessings Takes Place at Carr Center

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- High school girls attending prom got a chance to pick out dresses at the Carr Center today.
The event, Princess Blessing, was earlier this afternoon and all dresses and accessories were given to teens completely free.
The dresses were all donated by people in the community and started nearly 10 years ago.
Becky Clawson, the Carr Center Executive Director and the creator of Princess Blessing says the event is important because it supports girls in need.
“There are a lot of girls in need in our community and I really just want to help out and this is a way to get dresses out of closets and back into the light and back to formal events.”
The event houses over 500 dresses for girls from the community to pick from.
Faith Davis, a teen preparing for her prom says that it feels good to know she has a place to go to for a dress.
“It feels nice because I can get a dress that I like and its free and it’s just nice to know there’s people here that actually care about girls events that they have and school and they want to look good and they care about that.”
The event has been happening for quite some time, and has no plans to stop providing dresses any time soon.
