Programs Available for Income Eligible Residents in Muskingum County

 MUSKINGUM COUNTY–The Muskingum Economic Opportunity Action Group Inc. (MEOAG) your local Community Action Agency is offering assistance to help Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) eligible Muskingum County residents who may find themselves struggling to make their rent payments. water payments and owner-occupied homeowners that may need to repair or replace their hot water tanks.

MEOAG is offering the following three programs. Rental Assistance for documented past due rent and can assist with up to $1100.00 towards rent only. Water Assistance can assist with a past due notice and assist with up to $500.00. Water Heater Repair/Replacement can assist owner/ occupied homeowners with up to $1000.00.

 TANF eligible households are at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines as established by HHS, have a child in the home (age 18 or younger as long as still in high school) or non­ custodial parent that’s able to prove they are paying child support. Direct payments only allowed to established vendors and landlords that complete and submit a W9.
