Prost! To the Dresden Oktoberfest
Villagers in Dresden came out today to have a beer and celebrate their German heritage.
The sound of polka music and the smell of bratwurst filled the air at the Dresden Oktoberfest.
"We got a German name so we figured we would go ahead and celebrate our German hertigate through Oktoberfest. We’ve got beer, music, bratwurst and all that fun stuff," says the vice president of the Village Association, Marin Starr.
The family friendly event also featured several different vendors, kids’ games and a silent auction. But there could only be one star of the show.
"What is your favorite type of food they have down here?" I asked.
"Budweiser!" laughs Bob Little,"The brats, I am eating one now."
The Dresden Oktoberfest was free and ran from 12-9 pm today.
