Quinn Family Bash for Recovery Kicks Off Friday

Quinn Family Bash for Recovery Kicks Off FridayZANESVILLE, Ohio-Get ready to rock.

Friday, June 24th the Quinn family is hosting their annual “Quinn Family Bash for Recovery” at the Muskingum County Welcome Center. What started 17 years ago in a church basement has now grown to feature more than 200 attendees.

“The Quinn Family Bash is one day to set aside the daily challenges that we all face,” National Alliance on Mental Illness President Paul Quin. But mostly celebrate the people who are fighting heroic battles against a devastating illness, come out and just have fun.”

Quinn said thanks to the Muskingum Community Foundation this event is possible. Quinn stresses how vital events like these are the community.

“People who have these illnesses isolate themselves. So they don’t get out to hear live music and that’s what we’re offering. Those of us who are up there singing and performing, when you see these people who you know are having trouble just getting out of bed that day, coming out and they are dancing, laughing, and singing along. That’s the best feeling in the world,” Quinn said.
