Raiders Slug Two Home Runs in Shutout Win

Morgan

CROOKSVILLE, OH- Playing on back to back days is always tough in any sport. The Crooksville Ceramics softball team entered Wednesday coming off a loss to New Lexington just one day prior. The Morgan Raiders were also playing on back to back days and look to spark a winning streak.

We pick this one up in the top of the 2nd inning Raiders up 2 to nothing. Chloe Baker hits a line drive up the middle and she cruises into second base safely. Runner now in scoring position.

Very next batter Remi Keirns hits a pop up into left field and it falls down for a hit. Baker comes across to score. Keirns tries to be aggressive and is thrown out at second. 3-0 Raiders.

Later in the inning the Ceramics defense showed out. Emilee Gray makes a nice catch in centerfield taking a potential home run away from Cassidy Herdman.

Top of the third, two runners on for Myka Augenstein and she gets a hold of one into deep left and it clears the wall. A three run shot for Augenstein; Morgan would add more taking down the Ceramics 12-0.
