Rally’s restaurant will soon be hosting all-day food drive

ZANESVILLE – The drive goes to benefit Christ’s Table and the Salvation Army. This is the second year of the “Rally to Stop Hunger” campaign. The drive takes place during all of the hours the restaurant is open on Thursday, October 22nd. The process is simple for customers who would like to contribute.
“They come and they donate a non-perishable food item. We are going to give them 15% off of their order that day and we’re going to have some prizes out there and things like that that day. Of course, you know, with everything going on we have to maintain our distancing and so forth like that. We’re also going to have some treats for the kids because it is close to Halloween but, yeah, they can either come to walk up or the drive thru (and) drop off a non-perishable item, get 15% off, and we appreciate everybody’s help,” Rally’s General Manager William Runkle said.
Rally’s takes pleasure in participating in a charitable cause such as this and the receiving organizations are always very appreciative,” Runkle said.
“This will be the first year that we’ve ever donated to Christ’s Table. We’ve always done Salvation Army and they were appreciative of everything that we’ve ever done for them. They send us letters of course that we send to our corporate office that we put in our particular newsletter that we send out to all of our companies. We are a corporate store. There’s over 300 of us nationwide,” Runkle said.
Rally’s on Maple is open from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM. Donators will be allowed to drop off food items between any of those times on the 22nd.
