Rare Persian Onagers Born At Wilds

Researchers say two animals born recently at the Wilds Animal Preserve in Muskingum County are the first wild species of the horse family ever produced through artificial insemination.
The rare Persian Onagers were born June 28th at the Wilds.
A statement released Monday says the foals were the result of a two-year study of the species involving experts from the Wilds and the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute in Front Royal, Virginia.

Onagers and other endangered relatives of the horse.
