Fred was a proud veteran who honorably served in the United States Marine Corps, embodying values of courage and dedication throughout his life. After his service, he devoted 35 years of hard work at the Burnham Foundry, ultimately retiring at the age of 59, a milestone that allowed him to dive into the passions that brought him joy.

Fred was also a proud grandfather to several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also leaves a host of many other friends and family to cherish his memory.

A man of many interests, Fred found joy in trivial pursuits with Jo while enjoying nightly trivia shows. His loyalty to the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Bengals, and Cincinnati Reds was unmatched. Fred’s gentle spirit was evident in his love for gardening, tinkering with cars, and engaging in spirited discussions with friends and family. As a member of the Masons, his commitment to community service shone brightly during his years volunteering with Jo at the Food Bank Network and the Gant House, where they made lasting impacts on the lives of many.

Fred’s passion for life, storytelling, and socializing enriched the lives of those around him. He will be deeply missed yet fondly remembered for his infectious laughter and the light he brought to the world.

A celebration of Fred’s life and legacy will take place at a later date, inviting family and friends to reminisce and honor the impact he made in their lives. Arrangements are being handled by Burrell Funeral Services.
