Rebecca J. “Becky” Wentworth (May 14, 1939 – December 6, 2010)
Rebecca J. “Becky†Wentworth, 71, of Zanesville, OH died Monday December 6, 2010 at Cedar Hill Care Center.
She was born May 14, 1939 in Zanesville the daughter of the late Clarence and Kathryn (Watson) Atkinson. Becky was previously employed at Essex Wire and most recently was a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid, Board of Eastside Ministries, an election poll worker, and a volunteer for Zanesville City Schools. Becky took a great deal of pleasure attending family activities especially watching the sporting events her children and grandchildren participated. Also she was an avid coin collector and enjoyed bowling and camping.
Surviving Becky are her son: Ira (Amy) Wentworth of Gnadenhutten, daughter: Doris Sims of Zanesville, grandchildren: Sara Sims, Samuel Wentworth, Rachel Wentworth, Ariel Wentworth and Noah Wentworth, brothers: Richard Atkinson and Alan (Judy) Atkinson both of Zanesville, sisters: Faye Gannon of Zanesville, Linda (Nick) Woodall of Striker, OH and Peggy Sue (Tom) Copperas Cove, TX and several nieces and nephews, special friends: Darren Wisecarver and John Tullius.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband: Gary Wentworth who died in 2003 and niece: Nicole Woodall.
Visitation for Becky will be 6:00 – 9:00 PM Wednesday December 8, 2010 at Bryan & Snider Funeral Home 2318 Maple Ave. Zanesville, OH where funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday December 9, 2010. Rev. Tom Klaserner will officiate with committal service to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
