Recession Technically Over
The Wall Street Journal says the U.S. economy expanded in the third quarter, after shrinking for four consecutive quarters.
Some economists say this marks an end to the worst recession since World War II.
The Gross Domestic Product rose 3.5% in the quarter that ended in September.
The Wall Street Journal says two of the largest areas of growth came from car and house building. Two areas propped up by federal programs.
