Red Cross to Host Emergency Blood Drive
The cold temperatures have led to fewer blood donors for the American Red Cross.
Rick Dayton with the Red Cross says they’ve had to cancel blood drives at area schools that have closed due to the cold. Donations have also been down because people haven’t been going out to brave the elements to donate.
As a result, the Red Cross is holding an emergency blood drive on Friday (January 9th) at the Colony Square Mall. The drive will take place in the Dunham Sports wing of the mall across from Spencer Gifts from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome.
