Reds Ready for Exciting 2024 Season

The Cincinnati Reds impressed many fans last season by building an exciting brand of baseball that centered around enthusiasm and determination.
Cincinnati manager David Bell talked about how building camaraderie and utilizing individuals skill sets led to many exciting moments in 2023.
“I think if you were going to draw it up any way, you would want to have that type of team because it’s fun to watch, it’s fun to be a part of, it’s contagious and we’re going to continue with that approach. The aggressiveness and fearlessness a little bit on the bases is something that you have to stick with it, even if you get thrown out,” said Bell. You know you make a mistake on the bases, it’s important to really trust your process and get right back after it and you know our staff does a good job of supporting that type of mindset.”
Reds radio announcer Tommy Thrall has been broadcasting with the Reds organization for many years and admitted that the 2023 season was something special.
“I think one of the biggest things is the intensity and the excitement in the brand of baseball that they played. One of the things I learned about Reds fans is they like that blue-collar style of baseball. The guys that hustle, the grinder type of player,” said Thrall. “There’s just so many of these guys that are easy to root for. They’re fun to watch, they’re exciting and not only that they’re good. So you factor all that in together and I think it’s pretty easy to capture the hearts of Reds fans.”
Thrall is concerned that some of the players may go through a “sophomore slump” but anticipates a lot of excitement unfolding throughout the 2024 baseball season.
