Renner Theater Hosting Weekend Full of Broadway Fun

ZANESVILLE, OH -If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, the Renner Theater has a weekend chock-full of events.
On Friday, May 8th, from 7 to 10PM, they will be hosting their Broadway Bash featuring DJ Kurtus from K-SOUND.
Alaina Roberts, the President of the Junior Theater Committee, says he’ll be playing Broadway favorites or you can request other songs to dance and sing the night away.
“Broadway costumes are encouraged so dress up like your favorite Broadway character!.” Roberts said. “It’s going to be a lot of fun, if dancing’s not your thing we have games for you to play as well, like I think we’re bringing Jenga back.”
Tickets for the Broadway Bash are only $12 and can be purchased online or at the door.
Then on Saturday, May 9th, at 7:30PM will be the Night of One Acts featuring 2 shows.
“Worth Keeping” is directed by Roberts and will be the first show in the Night of One Acts; the second show will be “The Town That Time Forgot” and is directed by Hayden Weck, the Vice President of the Theater Committee.
“It’s about these 4 friends as they try to fix their local town’s clock, which suddenly broke one evening.” Weck said. “With it, so did the rest of time, so it just kind of has that funny story beats as they go along and try to fix this clock and at the end it has some really nice heart.”
Tickets for the Night of One Acts are $20 and can also be purchased at the door or online at therenner.org.
All of the proceeds from these two events help to fund the Junior Theater Committee’s Summer Camp happening in a few months.
