Renovations Underway at Christ’s Table

ZANESVILLE, OH – A beloved staple in the Zanesville community is getting a well deserved face lift.
Renovations are currently underway on the front of Christ’s Table.
Keely Warden, the Executive Director, says this project has been a few years in the making but the results will be well worth the wait.
She says through the help of a local family as well as some smaller donations, they were able to make their dream a reality.
“We’re very, very, very, conscious of when someone sends us a donation and what they want done with it.” Warden said. “So doing a whole reno on the front of the building, most people that send their money here want it to go to food and go to serve the people that we serve. So when people give us money and say do what you need to do with it, the front of the building needed done. We had to find a contractor, we had to find an architect, we had to find people that saw our vision and what we wanted to do.”
Warden says their original plan was to make the front look just like it did when the Table first opened.
She says they unfortunately had to scrap that plan but thanks to their architect and contractors, a new vision is taking shape.
“We contacted Pat Kelly, an architect, that came in and was so very patient with us to see what we needed and then to be able to speak to our contractors, which was Muskingum Contractors, and put things in perspective of what we saw but what was also attainable.” Warden said. “So Muskingum Contractors, we waited a while to get them, but we just felt that was the contractors that we wanted, so that’s why it’s taken a couple of years to get this thing moving but we always say here, ‘We’re moving on the Lord’s time’.”
Warden says the renovations are expected to be completed by the end of October.
