Renowned Basketball Coach Coming to Warsaw

Arguably the top basketball-specific strength and conditioning coach in the country is coming to River View High School at the end of the month. DeMatha Catholic High School strength and conditioning coach Alan Stein will be running a clinic in Warsaw on May 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Stein gained notoriety by coaching 2014 NBA MVP Kevin Durant when Durant played for Montrose Christian School, helping the Texas recruit bulk up for the college level. Stein has worked as a strength and conditioning coach for the McDonald’s All-American game, the Jordan Brand All-American Classic and the Nike Skills Academy. In addition to Durant, Stein has helped run camps for NBA superstars LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash and Chris Paul, among others.
