Residents share their voting experience

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Here in Zanesville and the rest of Ohio voting is being called robust by state election officials.
We stopped by a voting precinct on Blue Avenue to talk with residents about their voting experience.
“It was easy,” Nicolas Adkins said. “It takes longer to brush your teeth in the morning than it does to come out and vote. It’s really not that bad.”
“My election experience was very positive,” Emma Lucas said. “It was very well organized. I came at a time that was not very busy. Everyone was very friendly. I had no issues with my voter’s registration card.”
“Went very smooth,” Jeff Rider said. “I was in and out. I thought it was straight forward. It was good.”
Voters also shared their thoughts on this year’s presidential race.
“It was rough. I had to swallow my pride. I had to vote [for] Hilary, because [I rather] anybody but Trump. It was pretty rough. I was a Bernie or bust so it was difficult,” Adkins said.
“Now more than ever, it’s very important that people share their opinion and get out there and vote. As a teacher, I strongly encourage my students to do their research and just to remain positive. Go with your heart and the research that you’ve done,” Lucas said.
“I just hope everyone will get out and vote,” Sherry Rider said. “Make their voice heard.”
“We like trump. We don’t like Hilary. I don’t think Hilary is going to take us the right way. I think Trump [is] going to,” Jeff Rider said.
