Restore Opening in Zanesville
A Habitat for Humanity restore is opening soon in Muskingum County.
However, before it can open, work must be completed, and the organization needs donations to fill the walls. While the store won’t open until July 10, the store will start collecting donations at the start of June.
"Donation day, we’re going to start taking donations in earnest and scheduling pickups and being available for the public to drop off here on June 2," said, Molly Blair, the Director of restore operations for Habitat for Humanity of Southeast Ohio.
The restore relies heavily on donated items, as Blair said around 95 percent of things sold in a restore are donated. The store also offers a large variety of items.
"It’s actually quite an exhaustive list," she said. "I like to call Habitat Restores a home and hardware thrift store. If you think of anything you would find going into a hardware store, we will take that here."
You can drop off or schedule a pickup for your donations. If you what workers to pick up items, you can call the restore at (740) 297-4446.
