Rhea Eloise Burwell (August 28, 1921 – December 11, 2010)

Rhea Eloise Burwell 89 of Zanesville went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday December 11, 2010 at the Willow Haven Care Center. She was born on August 28, 1921 in Zanesville to the late William and Nellie McNeish Woodson. She was a graduate of Lash High School and the Meredith Business College and was a former telephone operator. Her passion in life was helping her husband with his ministry therefore she held many positions such as, Jr. Church director, teacher and pianist. She was a homemaker and a wonderful mother and was loved by all who knew her.
She is survived by: Two sons Robert (Carleen) Burwell and John Mark Burwell both of Zanesville and two daughters: LaJoy (Dale) Green and Christy Burwell of Zanesville. 14 Grandchildren, several great- grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Ralph Burwell on February 6, 2010 and a sister Agnes Bitzer.
Calling hours will be from 11AM to 1PM on Thursday December 16, 2010 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 W. MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00PM with Pastor Mark Ballmer and Pastor Steve Chaney officiating. Burial will be at the Washington Township Baptist Church Cemetery.
