RISE Class Making a Difference

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – For the past eight weeks at the Muskingum Rec Center, RISE fitness seminar has been taking place, and next Saturday the class will be making a difference.
The RISE class is about restoring, igniting, standing, and empowering individuals. The tail end of the class series is about empowering and giving back to the community. Personal Trainer for the class, Samantha Davis, wanted to make next Saturday’s class about giving back to one member who’s Grandson is suffering from an Autism disorder. All of the proceeds from the class will go to Liam Joseph and his cause.
“The RISE group knew that at the end we would be giving back to somebody in the community. God really put it on my heart to do this for Becky Joseph and her Grandson Liam. This will be the first one so everybody in the community, please come out and join this. It’s gonna be a fun workout,” said Davis.
Becky Joseph said she was surprised to hear that the class will be focused on her Grandson. Liam has ADNP, an autism spectrum disorder. Individuals with ADNP have delayed developments with their speech and motor skills, such as sitting and walking. ADNP is very rare, it effects 1 in 27,000 kids in the U.S. and Europe.
“We’re just doing everything we can to get him all the services that we possibly can do. I share a lot of that with Sam when we’re working out, and I just can’t believe that today she announced that she’s going to do her community give back to seeing that maybe he gets a few of the things that he needs coming up this 2019 year by having this community class and I’m just very, very grateful,” she said.
All of the community is welcome to attend the class, which takes place at the Muskingum Rec Center on Saturday, December 29th from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
