Road Construction In Muskingum County
The Ohio Department of Transportation will be busy this week, which means detours for commuters.
Monday through Thursday of this week ODOT crews will be improving and repairing routes throughout Muskingum County.
Monday, July 20- State Route 146 will be closed at the 31 mile marker, a half mile east of Zion Ridge Road from 7:30am – 3:30pm. The closure will take place for county crews to replace a culvert. Weather permitting, SR 146 will re-open later that day. Detour: State Route 340 to State Route 284.
Tuesday, July 21- State Route 240 from the 2 mile marker, north of International Road to 3 mile marker, south of Sisk Lane will be closed from 7am to 4pm. County workers will be replacing two culverts. Weather permitting, SR 340 will re-open later that day. Detour: State Route 146 to State Route 284.
Wednesday, July 22- Buttermilk Road (Blue Rock Township) in Gaysport, will be closed at the intersection of State Route 60 From 7:30am – 1:30pm. County workers will be replacing two culverts. Weather Permitting Buttermilk Road will re-open later that day. No posted detours.
Wednesday, July 22- State Route 284 at the 4.9 mile marker, approximately one mile south of the intersection of State Route 284 and State Route 340 will be closed for slip pair. District Special Projects Crews will be working on the construction. Weather permitting, the project will be completed August 12, 2009. Detour: SR 340 to SR 146.
Thursday, July 23- Porter Run Road (Newton Township) at the intersection of State Route 345 will be closed near Chesterhill Stone Quarry from 7:30am – 1:30pm. County crews will be replacing a culvert. Weather permitting, Porter Run Road will re-open later that day. No posted detour.
