Road Work to Begin on SR 16 in Muskingum County

The Ohio Department of Transportation announced  that work is scheduled to begin Thursday  on State Route 16 in Muskingum County.

Officials say the road will be restricted to one lane in each direction to begin building a new crossover.  Motorists will experience minor delays.

The work is in preparation for the resurfacing job that will begin Monday, May 11th.

The road will be resurfaced from the Licking County line to east of Old Riley Road.

The project is expected to be completed August 31st.

The Shelly Company is the contractor  on the $2.8 million project.
