Robert M. Lyle

Robert M. Lyle, 80, of Zanesville, died at 5:35 P.M. Saturday, November 19, 2016, at his home surrounded by his loving family.  He was born October 18, 1936 in Zanesville, son of the late Bertram G. and Olive E. Melvin Lyle. He was employed by Brockway Glass as Mold Engineer and Programmer. Bob was a member of Trinity United Presbyterian Church, Elk Lodge #379, F & AM in Ridgway, PA, Hebron Lodge #116, Hebron, Honorary member of Jackson Lodge # 85, Scottish Rite, Coudersport, PA, Amrou Grotto # 45 of Zanesville, where he was currently serving as Chaplain and a former member of the Elks. Robert proudly served in the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife Judith Ann Lipps Lyle of the home; a daughter, Kelly Ann (Steve) Garber; a son, Timothy Jay (Rachel) Lyle; three grandchildren, Megan E. Garber, Zachary A. Garber, and Benjamin M. Lyle; and a sister, Becky Kocsis.

Friends and family may call from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE with Masonic Lodge Services at 5:30 P.M., and a Amrou Grotto Service to follow at 5:45 P.M. Friends may also call one hour prior to the funeral service which will be held at Trinity United Presbyterian Church, 830 Military Road, Zanesville at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 23, 2016, with Rev. Dennis Allison and Rev. Keith Taylor officiating. A dignified cremation will follow the service.
