Rosemary L. Fisher (August 30, 1930 – April 14, 2012)

Rosemary L. Fisher, 81 of Zanesville , OH died 1:00 AM Saturday, April 14, 2012 at her daughter’s residence in Zanesville surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Saturday, August 30, 1930 in Zanesville the daughter of John and Mary Josephine (Spicer) Andrews.
Rosemary was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, gardener, school bus driver, card player, embroiderer, quilter, and domestic scientist ! She was a family legend (was even the subject of a Times Recorder article, with photos!) for the canning she did – fruits and vegetables in season, and jars of jelly that were special treats and gifts. She loved working outside and liked her yard neat. She loved to swim, and really enjoyed the water therapy of the past few years. She was a West Muskingum bus driver for 10 years, and was pleasantly surprised when “kids” who rode her bus recognized her and said hi. She lived in an old farmhouse many years, and there was always something that needed fixing. She firmly believed that this life was just a preparation for a better one. Her work here was done; her room in heaven is completely finished, comfortably furnished, and all her loved ones who went before are there to welcome her. Though we’ll miss her, she left us with many good lessons and memories that won’t ever die, and we all hope to meet again some day.
Rosemary is survived by her children and their families: daughter Mary Jo, her two sons, Zack,(Krystin)and Jake; son John Fisher; son Rick & his wife Roxi and their four, Regan, Ali, Shelli and R.J.; daughter Becky (Bob Hall) Huffman and her daughters Katrina (Jerrod) and Kelsey; son Jim and his children, Marcus and Courtney (Ian); daughter Molly Smith and husband Mike; son, Paul & his wife Maxine and their children, Matt, Sara and Katie; son Mark & his wife Michele, their sons Mason, Michael, and Macade; son Patrick & his wife Christy, their son Ben (Brittany) and daughter Alyssa; & daughter Jane Lenhart & her husband Sam and their children Jeremy, Jessica, and William. She was so proud of her family and all of their achievements; she was very proud to be a great grandma to Regan’s Jagger and Gavin; Ali’s Aidan, Avant and Sheron, Jr. ; Katrina’s Kyle and Keirra (and baby due soon!); Courtney’s Flynn and Marcus’ William Lee, and she would’ve loved meeting Ben and Brittany’s baby, also due soon. Her siblings, JoAnn Paul, Ray, Dorothy, Dick, Bob Andrews, Rita Walker, Dave and Mike Andrews and their spouses and families. Also surviving is her brother-in-law Bernard Fisher Jr., and sisters-in-law Margaret Miller and Marilyn Smith, their spouses and families.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William E. Fisher of 44 years, at the time of his death on Feb 1, 1997; two brothers: Paul & Lester Andrews, and a sister-in-law Dorothy Thorla.
A private Inurnment will take place at Zanesville Memorial Park Zanesville and a memorial mass will be celebrated at 10:30am Tuesday April 17th at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church 144 North Fifth Street Zanesville with Dominican Fathers as celebrant.
