Rotary Clubs of Zanesville Begin Sale of 12 Days Before Christmas Raffle Tickets

ZANESVILLE, OH – The Daybreak Rotary Club and The Noon Rotary Club of Zanesville are starting to sell tickets for their annual 12 Days Before Christmas Raffle.

The raffle was started back in 1995 by Daybreak Club Charter Member Ron Bucci and it has raised thousands of dollars for the community. Co-Chair of Noon Rotary Rick Sabine shares this years details.

“Well we have a drawing starting December 7th and there’s a drawing every day for actually 13 days. And there’s different prizes given away… We have 91 prizes, 91 winners, $13,000 in prizes this year. Our grand prize is $1,500 that will be given away on the last day and that’s through the generosity of Genesis Healthcare System. We want to thank them and of course all the sponsors that make this possible each year.”

The current objective of both Rotary Clubs is to sell tickets. The money raised from the sale of raffle tickets remains in the community and supports numerous Rotary projects.

“The money is used in a variety of ways. It goes to a lot of local organizations. Christ’s Table, East Side Community Ministry, it goes to the Carr Center, The Bethel Community Center, you know that we’ve all heard about. Some of the other activities; The Phoenix Scholarship Awards and each year the Noon Club will present a $1,000 scholarship to seniors, high school seniors that have overcome, that have conquered adversity to graduate.”
