Salon Sabatini Holds Grand Opening
A new salon made its debut in Zanesville Friday.
Salon Sabatini held a ribbon cutting today at 1426 Maple Avenue. It is owned and operated by Brigitta Smith. She started the salon in Uniontown, Pennsylvania in 2003 when she was only twenty-three. She says none of this would have been possible without support from her family.
"I could have never did it without my family. My mom believed in me, my dad co-signed my first business loan, my sister was into the accounting. So they all helped, friends and family," said Smith.
Chamber of Commerce president Tom Poorman and Mayor Jeff Tilton welcomed Smith to Zanesville and wished her luck. Smith chose the name for her salon so she could honor her family heritage.
"That’s how I came to name the salon after my maiden name, my dad’s name he didn’t have any boys so it’s a way to carry the name on," said Smith.
Salon Sabatini specializes in hair coloring, modern cutting techniques and special occasion styling for weddings and prom.
