Sara A. Reichart

Sara A. Reichart, 83, of Zanesville, died 4:04 PM, Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville following a sudden illness.

She was born Saturday, September 2, 1933 in Zanesville, the daughter of Alphonse William Burkhard and Amelia (Archer) Burkhard. She was married on Saturday, October 28, 1967 to John Reichart, who preceded her in death on Wednesday, April 30, 1986.

Sara was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, and a 1952 graduate of St. Nicholas High School. She retired from Brockway Glass Company following 20 years of service. She was a charter member of Eagles Auxiliary Aerie # 302, Men’s and Women’s Guild of St. Nicholas, Friends of the Library, Red Hat Society. Sara enjoyed line dancing and spending time with her friends at the Muskingum County Center for Seniors.

Sara is survived by two sisters: Mollie (Tom) Tysinger and Alicia Covert all of Zanesville; 44 nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews; two sisters in law: Nancy Ross of Zanesville and Ruth Ann King of Pataskala.

In addition to her parents and husband, Sara was preceded in death by two sisters: Nancy Burkhard and Camilla and (Burl) Calendine.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 PM & 6 to 8 PM on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, where a prayer service will take place at 7:45.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church 925 East Main Street, Zanesville with Fr.
