Scholarship Central is Seeking 4 Recent College Graduates to Serve as Ohio College Guides
ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Scholarship Central is searching for graduates who have a two or four year degree who would like a short-term job.
Katie McCarty, Educational Assistant, MCCF, Scholarship Central and GEAR UP Grants, said that it’s an 11-month program that starts in August and ends in June 2017.
“They work with local high school students and middle school students, helping them figure out what their path will be after high school, whether it’s college, the job force, military, or some type of internship, anything that will help them figure out a plan.”
McCarty said that the college guides receive a monthly stipend that totals to $12,530 after the 11 months and that they also receive an educational stipend that’s worth $5,730.
“As long as they complete their service term successfully, they receive an educational stipend that they can use to pay to further their college so if they want to get their masters degree they can pay towards that, or they can use it to pay off their loans.”
