Scholarship Help At Tim Hortons

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Giving students scholarship help at the coffee shop.
Area students had the opportunity to receive help with scholarship searches, essays, and resumes from the Scholarship Central Access Program. The Program was designed to provide comfortable places for students to obtain information on their education beyond high school.
“Our hope is to have current college students and seniors come in, and complete some applications, ask questions about the scholarships. Also ask for some resumes and activity sheets so we hope that we can help them complete those needed parts to their scholarship applications,” said Scholarship Central Consultant, Samantha Garber.
Scholarship Central Access Program wants to make it easier for students to receive support and advice on the steps they can take for their transition from high school to college. This also showcases to students the scholarships that are available to them.
“Some of those scholarship applications ask very specific questions that students or parents may not understand. So by having us there to help them, it makes the process a little easier for the students. They don’t feel like they’re just winging it as they complete those applications. They feel more confident in what they’re answering with,” Garber said.
Scholarship Central Access Program is in the works of having another Scholarship Help event in March. March is the time when most scholarships are due, they will officially announce the event on their website, www.scholarshipcentral.org.
