Second Annual Westview Festival

Westview Festival

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – A former elementary school site turned into a festival of fun.

The second annual Westview festival was held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the former Westview Elementary school building site. The community was invited to enjoy lots of activities like the dunk tank, some games, a bounce house, and food and refreshments.

“We’ve got all sorts of games. The games are geared for small children and then up,” said Executive Director for Muskingum Valley Park District, Russell Edgington.

“There’s some good food to eat. And just live music and a lot of fun,” he said.

The proceeds from the festival will be used towards the development of Westview Community Park.

“It’s basically just giving people an opportunity to give back to the community. It’s just a great opportunity, spend a little bit of money, and it goes to a good cause,” said Edgington.

Construction on the new facility is expected to begin in September.
