Second ‘Unite & Light the Way Out of Darkness’ Meeting

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – It’s time for the community to ‘Unite and Light the Way Out of Darkness.’
A month ago around 150 people joined together to learn and help those dealing with opioid addictions. Event Organizer, Christy Kinder said those who attended heard testimonials, got access to different rehabilitation services and participated in a candlelight vigil and prayer.
“The last event was awesome, we had a good turn out, there were about 150 people there,” Kinder said. “We were ‘wowed’ by the outcome.”

Now Kinder wants to grow and expand the efforts for the fight against addiction.
“This next meeting we want it to be about the community, about what they see coming from these meetings,” Kinder said. “How they want to go about making things happen. We just need to come together as a whole, to take our community back, and to help save our families and loved ones.”
Kinder is looking forward to the next event for people can hear about a new rehabilitation service and their mission, while also learning about the drug epidemic from Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz, and they’ll hold another candlelight vigil and prayer.
This meeting will mainly focus on how the community can work together to combat this problem further.
“If the community joins together and we come up with ideas on what to do and how to go about doing it, we can put things into action and try our darndest to make it happen,” Kinder said. “Join us and unite the community together, let’s take it back.”
The ‘Unite and Light the Way Out of Darkness’ event will take place March 7, 2017 at 7:00 P.M. in the evening in the James Singer Activity Center.
