Semi Accident Investigation

Zanesville,OH- The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two vehicle crash that closed the interstate between the Airport exit and Norwich for several hours Monday.

The State Patrol said just before 3pm a 2021 freightliner driven by 58-year-old Ronnie McNeely of Crestview, Florida was traveling west on I-70 when he lost control of the vehicle and went off the left side of the roadway, crossed the median and overturned onto I-70 eastbound blocking both lanes.

40-year-old Joseph Martin of Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania was eastbound on I-70 and attempted to avoid McNeely, but struck the trailer that was across I-70.

Both drivers were treated at the scene. I-70 was closed as crews worked to clear the accident and the large amount of food grade material spilled.
