Serious Injury at Market/7th Street Crash
The Zanesville Police Department says three people are injured, one serious, after a two car accident this evening.
It happened around 5:15 p.m. at the intersection of 7th and Market Streets.
Lieutenant Tony Coury says a van was traveling westbound on Market Street when it was struck by a red Intrepid traveling southbound on 7th Street. Coury says the driver of a red Intrepid ran a red light.
Three people in the van were injured. One was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital. Coury says another was MedFlighted to Grant Medical Center in Columbus for a possible neck injury.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation, but Coury says alcohol is a suspected factor in the crash.
