Severe Weather Hits Southern Muskingum Co.

Muskingum County- Severe weather that moved through the area Sunday has caused problems in the southern end of Muskingum County.

Muskingum County Emergency Management Director Jeff Jadwin said that State Route 93 is closed in Avondale. Jadwin said the storm caused some power poles to lean and it will take some time to clean up the damage.  At this time they are asking motorists to avoid that area.

Jadwin also said they are checking on reports of damage in the Blue Rock area. Ironspot also got hit hard by passing storms.
