Sewer Project Will Affect Area Residents
A new sewer project will affect some residents in our area. Muskingum County Commissioners held an open house today to discuss the upcoming Olde Falls Road Area Sewer Project. The project will replace the current septic tanks with a sewer system.
“It is a 1.2 million dollar project and we will put it up for bid in October and it will serve about 115 homes and it will be about a year of construction to get it completed,” says county commissioner John Bates.
The commissioners say they will use grants, TAP fees and debt services to pay for the new sewer system. Bidding for the project will begin in October.
“Well I think it will be great for the area done along with Dunzweiler Drive, you know that is another sewer project, so it will be in conjunction both of these. So it will help the area tremendously and get the septic tanks off line and have a central sewer,” tells Bates.
The streets affected are Arc Drive, Valley View Road, Valley View Circle, Eva Circle, Village Drive, Sunrise Circle, Ivy Circle, and Olde Falls Road from the addresses of 3185 to 3545. Questions can be directed to the Projects Department at 455-7127.
