Shawn Allen Young

Shawn Allen Young, 42 of Zanesville passed away Thursday September 1, 2016 at his residence. He was born March 8, 1974 in Zanesville a son of Delores “Dee” Bissett Young of Zanesville and the late Harold “Whitey” Young.

He had worked at Verizon, Teletec, former Bar Tender and a tremendous cook. He participated in Relay For Life. Enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, and was a member of the Kevin Harvick fan club he had the opportunity to meet him the previous summer.

In addition to his mother he is survived by one son Jaleel Ranson (Young) of Zanesville; God Son Jordan Wolford and God Daughter Loralei Finney; one sister Carrie (Craig) Durig of Proctor, WV; one grandson Brandon Ranson; nieces and nephews Kayla, Michael, Christian, Andrew and Brenzen.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a brother and best friend, David Eric Strunk.

Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 on Tuesday September 6, 2016 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday September 7, 2016 at 11am in the Snouffer Chapel with Rev. John Sensabaugh officiating. Burial will follow at a later date.
