Sheridan goes for state championship against Alter

State Title Promo

DAYTON, Ohio – The Sheridan girls basketball team will play for the state championship game for the first time in school history.

The Generals will take on Archbishop Alter Saturday at 2 p.m. for the DII title. Alter is no stranger to playing for state titles. The Knights have won state crowns in 2017, 2016, 2015, and 2008. The Kettering school has only lost one game all season long and they took care of Bishop Hartley 69-33 in the semifinal game.

Sheridan is coming off a triple overtime win against Norton and they are making their first ever appearance in the title game.

If you can’t make it to Dayton, WHIZ will have you covered with live coverage. You can hear play-by-play on 92.7 and streaming on whiznews.com starting at 1:30 p.m.
