Sheriff Confirms Armed Robberies in Muskingum-Perry Counties are Connected
CROOKSVILLE, OH– Perry County Sheriff William Barker is confirming that a recent armed robbery at the Southside Carryout in Crooksville is linked to two armed robberies in Zanesville.
Sheriff Barker said that a man is currently in custody at the Zanesville City Jail, who is believed to be involved in the armed robbery at the Southside Carryout on Sunday. The sheriff also confirmed that the two armed robberies that occurred at the Certified Gas Station and Moto Mart in Zanesville are, in fact, connected.
The suspect’s name is not being released at this time until formal charges are filed relating to the Southside Carryout robbery and shooting. Sheriff Barker said his office is working a joint investigation with both the Zanesville Police Department and Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office.
