Shoe Carnival Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

There’s a new place in town to buy shoes just in time for back-to-school shopping.

Shoe Carnival is celebrating its grand opening in the Northpointe Shopping Center.  General Manager Frank Engoglia said his store is different from the rest.

"We got name brands and we got great prices," said Engoglia.  "If people need shoes, we have them.  It’s a fun place.  We do specials, we play games and we have hula hoops.  I’ll be out there doing things with kids, so we just try to have fun.  If you’re going to spend your money somewhere, spend it with us, because you can enjoy yourself."

Engoglia and his fellow employees helped Mayor Jeff Tilton cut the ribbon.  He said the store is rewarding customers with a big sale this weekend.

"We have buy one get one half off," said Engoglia.  "It’s a great deal.  You can come in and get name brand shoes at great prices.  We have a grand opening coming up on Saturday with giveaways and all kinds of things, so it’ll be a fun day."

Shoe Carnival is located near Kohl’s and T.J. Maxx in North Zanesville.
