Zanesville Police Tuesday have released the name of the man they say was involved in the Saturday morning shooting in a Maple Avenue apartment.
Detective Sergeant Ric Roush says 28-year-old Rarecole Brown of Columbus – also known as Rico Brown – has now been charged in the case. Roush says the suspect is facing one count each of attempted murder, felonious assault – both with firearm specifications – and having a weapon under a disability.
"He has not been located as of this time and we are advising people that if they do see this individual they should consider him armed and dangerous," said Roush.
Roush asks individuals if they see Brown to not take any action on their own and to contact local law enforcement.
Roush also says the victim, 28-year-old Justin Minor was shot in the lower torso and remains in stable condition at Good Samaritan Hospital.
