ZANESVILLE, Ohio – It’s time to take a ‘Slice of Zanesville’.
The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America is having their second annual fundraiser benefit, ‘Slice of Zanesville’ on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at St. Thomas Catholic Church. WHIZ Meteorologist and organizer of the event Phil Sakal, says pizza will be provided by Creno’s Pizza, Papa John’s, Four Star, Domino’s, and Adornetto’s.

“We’ll hopefully have a 50/50 raffle and folks will be able to at least have their costumes judged, especially the little ones,”said Sakal. “I mean if you want to dress up as an adult you can do that, but we’ll have a costume contest with the kids, some music, and just a lot of fun.”

Along with the fun activities, there will be information provided regarding Crohn’s and Colitis diseases. Sakal says the money will go to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America and their research in finding a cure.

“I was diagnosed with Colitis very early on,”said Sakal “I’ve been able to manage it thankfully, but I do know several people that do have Crohn’s which is a little bit worse off in some cases and I know it can be kind of devastating to have that disease so the further along we get the research the better chance we’ll get at finding a cure.”

To order tickets visit ccfa.org and search ‘Slice of Zanesville.’ Tickets can also be purchased at the door.
