Sol Therapy Services Open Its Doors to the Community

ZANESVILLE, OH – A new mental health services provider just opened their doors to the community.

Sol Therapy Services, located at 601 Underwood St., celebrated their grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony today with the Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce.

Kelly Henry, the Owner of Sol Therapy, says she’s been in business for the last two years but recently added more staff to be able to provide more services to the area.

“So this resource is an opportunity for people to expand their counseling needs,” Henry explained. “I know we have other facilities that are wonderful in Zanesville, but this is an option for them that they might not have. I do incorporate mindfulness meditation yoga type therapies along with the traditional psychotherapy.”

Sol Therapy brings a more holistic and mindful approach when it comes to therapies and treatments, by offering yoga, breathing exercises, and mediation.

They also offer regular individual, couple, and family counseling as well.

Henry says the other types of therapy are to help people to regulate themselves if they feel overwhelmed when they’re not in the office.

“Not everybody is interested in medication, it’s surely an option and it can help, but sometimes people need that skill that they can take with them anywhere,” Henry said. “And so if they’re in a public setting and we’ve taught them how to de-escalate or regulate their emotions then they can do that without a therapist right there or without utilizing medication right away.”
