ZANESVILLE, Ohio – August 21, 2017 locals were given the opportunity to watch a Partial Solar Eclipse while being served a late lunch.

For Zanesville residents the partial eclipse was at an 85 percent Obscuration and the maximum eclipse happened at 2:32 P.M. The owner of The Barn, Jim Watson, invited people to come out and view the partial eclipse on their patio.

“Well this is almost a once in a life time experience,” Watson said. “To be able to see the eclipse, be able to see it happening this closely, and to have it in this area. So it was super exciting to be able to see it. I just thought I’d give everybody an opportunity to have somewhere they can know to come down and view it from our patio.”

Watson said everyone was having a blast sharing eclipse glasses, listening to music, and trying a new cocktail drink the Full Eclipse.
