ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Spring Break is around the corner and that means lots of people will be traveling to their vacation destinations.

For AAA, spring break is a busy time of the year for travel agents helping families plan out their vacation. AAA Travel Agent Lucy McCallister said according to the U.S. Travel Association, 88% of people in the U.S. still travel to warm destinations.

“So that would be like Florida, Disney, Panhandle area in Florida in the U.S. going into the Caribbean, Jamaica, Punta Cana, Cancun and Mexico, Dominican Republic, all of that area is still good and of course cruises are always still popular with most of the families cause they can all stay together,” McCallister said.

With all of the traveling worries, money is one thing families don’t want to stress out about so AAA is giving travelers tips on how to save.

“Hotels will give great discounts with your AAA, a lot of times you’ll get 10 to 15% depending. Always use apps to try to find out where gas is a lower price, is always a good distant thing to do and always try to book ahead of time because you’re going to get better pricing if you book ahead of time normally,” McCallister said.

She said there are also hotel destinations that are all inclusive and have so much for families to do within the area.
