Spring Cuddles Event Brings Baby Animals, Easter Fun and a Chance to Give Back

Spring Cuddles

ZANESVILLE, OH–An Easter weekend celebration of new life on the farm kicked off Friday morning at McDonald’s Greenhouse and Corn Maze.

The annual Spring Cuddles event welcomed guests with a barnyard full of baby animals—from goats and bunnies to calves and lambs. Families got to enjoy hands-on experiences, and even the Easter Bunny made a special appearance to join in on the fun.

“Everything on the farm is born in the spring and we have baby bunnies, baby chicks, baby calves, baby lambs, and there’s nothing cuter than a baby farm animal. So, we want everybody in our community to come out and see them and hold them and love them and pet them. We also have donuts and coffee, and our Farm to Fork Café is open, so you can cuddle a bunny, and you can cuddle a doughnut,” said Susan McDonald, the owner.

While Spring Cuddles is a celebration of new life and Easter joy, it also supports a meaningful cause. Donations collected during the event will go toward helping survivors of domestic violence.

“The admission today is being donated to Transitions. It’s the domestic violence advocacy center and shelter, and they are in Zanesville. They’ve been in business for our community—I think over 30 years. It’s a really great need in our community, so we want you to come out and donate. Our spring greenhouse is open in a couple weeks, so we look forward to seeing all of our friends and neighbors after a long winter,” McDonald said.

Spring Cuddles continues through Saturday and wraps up at 6 p.m.—offering one last chance to meet the animals and give back to a good cause.
